Autumn. One of our favorite seasons in The Lice Clinic in Medford. The change in temperature, the comfort foods and smells, the lovely layered clothing. We love it! There is one thing that’s always a topic of interest, though, when parents come to get treatment in our clinic. Shared hats! Children confuse, lose and misuse hats and other items at school. This can lead to the spread of many diseases beyond head lice infestation.
So, what should you do? We educate the children that we treat to refrain from using other people’s hats, brushes and hair accessories. We teach them why and how to keep their items protected. This reduces cross contamination, and that’s why it is our tip four this Lice Prevention Month!
